we love so well. The sunrises and sunsets can be

Canyon de Chelly in Arizona is the second largest
canyon in the US. Its history goes back
to the Anasazi, as evidenced by ancient ruins set
high in the red, sandstone cliffs that frame Chinle
Wash. You will hear a winning story teller relate
the Navajo history and stories that were passed
down to him from his grandparents. We love this
area and can't wait to show you all the wonderful

The Outer Banks are a long, thin strip of barrier
islands that protect the North Carolina Coast. Preserved
to a large extent by the Cape Hatteras National
Seashore, it is a visual feast of historic lighthouses
spaced between long stretches of wild beaches and
pristine sand dunes. The Outer Banks are part of
our own back yard that we know so well, and we will
go to great locations where you can make wonderful
photographs...

A number of alumni have been asking for an alumni-only
tour, and we heard you! Note that newcomers become alumni once they sign up for another 2010 workshop with us. Yosemite, quite simply,
is astounding. Half Dome and El Capitan stand
sentinel over the snow-dusted valley. A lone
coyote trots across, leaving delicate footprints. Above,
the big trees beckon, their rich, reddish hues contrasting
with the pure white of snow...

a land of backlit scenes, misty vistas in the early
morning, and clear, stark deserts. It is a land of
many people with a long history, as evidenced by the
plethora of temples, palaces, tombs, and old forts.

will even be rising during our trip! Our hostess, an
architect, grew up in Delhi and has family in all three
areas we will be visiting. This
will give us special insights into the color and culture of this exotic and
magnificent country....
