Join our photography workshop in the beautiful mountains of western Virginia where springtime is stunning. There will be many subjects to inspire you — cascades, waterfalls, and beautiful and sometimes-rare wildflowers, old mills, villages, farms, and mountain mists that abound in this historic area. You can't go wrong photographically.
We'll help you celebrate your passion for photography, hone your seeing and imaging skills, and teach you how elements of composition and the magic of light work in concert to make wonderful photographs. We'll be based in Warm Springs in historic Bath County, located high in the beautiful Alleghany Mountains of Appalachia. Not much has changed in this county since 1861 when General Robert E. Lee said of the area, "The views are so magnificent ... the valleys so beautiful, the scenery so peaceful." You'll agree that this is a wonderful place to photograph. In fact, this area has attracted interest from National Geographic, The Travel Channel, and others.
We start out with some technical information before heading out for our first afternoon of photography. Our workshops include the following:
In our print element, our instructors will give you the ins and outs of successfully and easily turning your favorite digital images into beautiful prints straight out of the latest version of Lightroom. In fact, in all our domestic workshops, you will end up taking home a lovely, large, archival print of one of your workshop photographs made with Epson paper and inks.
