Information for Cascades & Wildflowers Photo Workshop

Cost:  $850 including print element.
Discounts for early birds, BCPA alumni, and members of established photo associations (proof required).
Transportation, lodging, meals, and personal expenses are the responsibility of the participants.

Payments:
We accept PayPal and credit card payments through PayPal. Please e-mail a copy of your completed Application pages so we can coordinate your deposit/payment with your acceptance.

Weather

Trip Insurance:
It is never a bad idea to buy trip insurance and sometimes, even travel health insurance. Insure My Trip is one website that has been written up in the New York Times, Washington Post, etc. and lists a number of reliable companies that deal with travel insurance along with price comparisons. When you shop, look carefully at the coverage offered to make sure it meets your needs. Insure My Trip, by the way, is a BBB Accredited business.

This is a charming group of historic buildings nestled around an old grist mill, where we have negotiated a discount of 15% off the published rate. Call 540-839-2231, and be sure to mention "Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures" for this discount. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is delivered right to your room. This is a very popular inn, so we recommend making reservations early (we have already made ours), as the inn fills up quickly. Airport:
The nearest major Airport is Roanoke, VA (ROA), a little over an hour and a half to the south of Warm Springs. Richmond, VA (RIC) is a bit over three hours away. Other options include either airport in Washington, DC. Dulles International (IAD) which is about three and a half hours away, while Reagan National (DCA) is closer to four hours away.

Rental Cars:
Because we stop in out-of-the-way locations where the roads may be narrow, we encourage car sharing. If you are interested in sharing a rental car with others, let us know. We'll pool those who respond and get you in touch with one another to make your own plans. We can't guarantee that there will be takers, so we also recommend that you rent a car, as you can always cancel later. That way, you won't find your car of choice no longer available.
