Students' Gallery for
2016 Charleston, a Southern Belle Photo Workshop
During our Charleston workshop, it was great watching our small group of new-found friends enjoying one another's company and helping one another out whilst improving their photographic skills. As always, when they were presented with the same location, they each found their own vision and point of view, both in-camera and in later at the computer. Here is a sampling of images from some of our participants.
It is always fun to see Students in Action. You might even catch a
glimpse of the fun-loving instructors, too!

For those who want more time with Margo and Arnie, we offer the opportunity to scout and shoot with them before most of our domestic workshops. We limit this to two people per day who ride in the car with the instructors. During these days while Arnie and Margo do their own photography and final scouting for the workshop, there is also lots of individual instruction and discussions about photography.
We start out with some technical information before heading out for our first afternoon of photography. Our workshops include the following:
Maximum 6-to-1 ratio students to instructors;
Primer booklet to help you get started;
Early-morning and late-afternoon shoots for domestic workshops;
Daily downloading of your images and processing (we use the latest version
Lots of individual instruction in both the field and classroom;
Daily critiques, both individual and group for domestic workshops and most overseas ones;
Discussions on various aspects of photography, including digital workflow; and
Lots of fun and frivolity throughout!
One critical note: if you are contemplating buying a new camera, please make sure you have a basic working knowledge of it BEFORE you come to one of our workshops. There are so many variations amongst camera brands, and even within each brand, far too many for us to know and thus be able to help you. FAQs:
