Trip Insurance: We highly recommend trip insurance that
includes travel health insurance, especially for overseas trips. Travelex
Insurance Services is
a BBB
Accredited business with an A+ rating, where most of the good companies
rate a mere A or A-. Squaremouth.com,
a leading comparison site, rates Travelex very high amongst
those it lists. There are six plans. For
a lot more information and the name of our contact person, click

it to say that our travel agent has used Travelex for years.
Requirements for Visiting India
You will need visas and innoculations in order to travel to
India. We will give you detailed information several
months before our trip so that you will be properly prepared.
Accommodations: (Enable
pop-up windows for links to work.)
We will be staying in three-star (minimum) hotels with en-suite
bathrooms, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi access. Please
note that not all hotels in India provide Wi-Fi access in the
rooms. You will get a full itinerary with contact information
several months before the photo workshop.
Airport:
The nearest major Airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi. The
following airlines and/or their partners, have regular flights
to Delhi: American, Continental, Delta, United, and US
Airways.
We recommend arriving Saturday, January 15, 2011, so that you
can rest up before we meet on Sunday. Your fee includes
your hotel for the 15th. Our hotel will have an in-house
restaurant.
Flying with Photo Equipment:
It is always good to check with TSA and your airline before traveling by air. Currently,
TSA
regulations note:
"You may carry one (1) bag of photographic equipment in addition to one (1) carry-on
and one (1) personal item through the screening checkpoint. The additional
bag must conform to your air carrier's carry-on restrictions for size and weight. Please
confirm your air carrier's restrictions prior to arriving at the airport."
They do remind everyone that not all airlines will allow this, so you may want
to select your airline based on thier willingness to work with photographers...
"Air carriers may or may not allow
the additional carry-on item on their aircraft. Please check with your
air carrier prior to arriving at the airport."
If you are a member of a photo association, carry your membership card. It may help
you, but that is not a guarantee.
Always check back with the TSA
website for the latest updates!
