Sicily, known as "Sicilia" in Italian, is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Inhabited since around 8,000 BC, it is home to five World Heritage Sites — Valle dei Templi (Valley of the Temples) of Agrigento; Villa Romana del Casale of Piazza Armerina (with its beautifully preserved mosaics); The Aeolian Islands (Natural site); Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto (South-Eastern Sicily); and Syracuse (think Shakespeare) and the Rocky Necropolis of Pantalica.
This triangular island is also home to Mt. Etna, the "friendly" volcano, dramatic coasts, small cliffside villages, Palermo, and the charming town of Taormina where we'll be based. You'll be treated to city markets, ancient Teatro Grecos, Roman arches, ancient cities, amazing views, and scenic drives. What more could one want?
Margo and Arnie look forward to returning to this special part of the world and showing you some of their favorite locations where you'll be able to celebrate your passion for photography, hone your seeing
and imaging skills, and learn about the magic of light to make wonderful photographs.
