Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures Out and About and in the News!

We have just been scheduled for a six-week show of our abstracts from Belize at the Alamance County Arts Council in Graham, NC for June/July of 2011. This is beautiful space, and we are very excited to be invited to show here!

Meanwhile, we have been lucky to have been featured in the news. Here's a sampling:

Outdoor Photographer told us that we will be one of the workshops listed in an article they are doing on same in the September 2010 online issue.

Outdoor Photographer's August 2010 print issue featured us first once again in their Travel & Workshops section using this image:

In March of 2010, the blog A Nomad's Lot had two entries mentioning us, both written by Antonia Anderson — Five Ways to Earn a Living through Photography (don't give up your day job!) and Relationships for Working Nomads.

Also in March, writer Kasey Hargan featured Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures in an article called Photography Workshops or Tech Schools: Great Alternatives to the University Scene in the online journal Suite101.com.

In their February 2010 issue, Apogee Photo, an online magazine, reprinted (with prior permission) our blog article on © is for Copyright.

Outdoor Photographer featured us at the head of the Workshop section in their February 2010 print issue. They used the image below.  They also featured us in the October 2008 and July 2009 print issues.

In the October 2009 issue of Shutterbug, industry expert Maria Piscopo wrote an article called Social Media — A New Sales Strategy in which she quoted us.  She had called and written to interview us, but we were on the road at one of our workshops.  By the time we were able to respond, it was so late, so we were surprised and happy to find she included us.  In fact, we found out about it through one of the Social Media — Facebook!  The article is also online.

Robert Sheppard wrote an article in the April 21, 2009 online edition of Outdoor Photographer titled Get the Most from a Workshop: What to look for and what to expect from a photo workshop.  He included us in his list of workshops, although he listed us as The Barefoot Contessa instead of Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures!

Crain's Chicago Business interviewed one of our Chicagoland alumnae for their October 5, 2010 article on Snapping Safaris.  We received very good publicity in the article that was also published in their print edition.

Topsail-Island.Info did an article on us on July 10, 2008, complete with photos and slide show!

In 2008, Travel + Leisure listed us as one of ten photo workshops in their online article Photography 101: Photo Expeditions and Tours.

All of these are wonderful, but our best accolades come from our alumni!
