  • Photoshop Artistry:  For Photographers Using Photoshop CS2 and Beyond by Barry Haynes, Wendy Crumpler and Sean Duggan (excellent guide to the art and technique of crafting an image in Photoshop - comprehensive and structured as a series of clear, highly-effective tutorials that build upon one another)
  • Learning to See Creatively by Bryan Peterson (good book for beginning photographers or photographers wanting a refresher on what make for an interesting image)
  • Color Management for Photographers by Andrew Rodney (heady, but a good discussion of color management principles for those who want to understand how to get from the capture to the print with dependable color)
  • Adobe Photoshop Restoration & Retouching (3rd Edition) by Katrin Eismann and Wayne Palmer (best book available on Photoshop restoration and retouching techniques)
