Day 06 – From Edinburgh to Inverness
Arnie and I moved the cars from in front of the hotel so we wouldn’t get ticketed. Parking in Edinburgh is strange to us outsiders. No matter, after breakfast, we loaded up the cars and went on our way.
This will be a short blog today, because I don’t have time to do any writing. Suffice it to say we retraced our route from last week. The group had a great time, and we did quite a bit of walking in our various stops.
Here is a potpourri from the day, including three shots from Blair Castle, the Murray seat. My family were Murrays on one side, so I always jokingly refer to it as the family castle. Same family, but too many generations removed to lay claim to it! You’ll the overlook we loved last week, Diana’s Grove with immense, old-growth trees, an old latch, and a little bit of the castle, the only all-white one in Scotland.
Next stop: The Isle of Skye.
