Day 02 – Paris, People in the Park

In the last blog, we talked about Paris being about people, among other things.

We greeted our workshop participants, including one from Victoria, Australia, and talked about various principles and approaches one might take to photograph people. Off to Jardin du Luxumbourg where my English granny used to take my dad when he was young and they lived the Bohemian life in Paris.

It was a beautiful day, and people basked in the sun, enjoying conversation or perhaps a quiet, relaxing hour or so.© 2012 Margo Taussig Pinkerton. All Rights Reserved. Through the balusters on our level, I saw a couple going over maps and outlining their visit in this wonderful city. Beyond, lay the pond.© 2012 Margo Taussig Pinkerton. All Rights Reserved. Music started, a band outside the park gates. We enjoyed listening to it and agreed that the student players did very well.

When they were through, people started setting up on the bandstand. More students, but they played far beyond their years. A young man stood out against the gentle foliage beyond as he played his violin.© 2012 Margo Taussig Pinkerton. All Rights Reserved. From Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures.
