COVID SAFETY: Please read our COVID-19 Information and Prep page.Join us for a photo workshop not only in that grand lady of the south, Savannah, but in the Lowcountry that surrounds her.
Celebrated in the book and movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" and founded in 1733, Savannah was laid out as a grid of squares, each surrounded by stately houses with inviting staircases, cascading plants, and beautiful flower boxes.
Now numbering over 20, each square lures you in for a visit amongst magnificent, ivy-covered shade trees, wrought-iron fences, and meandering paths. There are glimpses of lush gardens through gates, and surprises everywhere ... if you look.
Nearby are marsh lands, ancient Live Oaks festooned in Spanish moss, a couple of forts, shrimp boats, old ruins, historic cemeteries, quiet estuaries, and charming waterfront towns.
For anyone loving a slice of history and the grace of the old South, you can't go wrong.
You'll be able to celebrate your passion for photography, seek your own vision, hone your seeing and imaging skills, and learn about the magic of light to make wonderful photographs.
We always recommend that you stay an extra few days after the workshop, not only to practice your new-found or recently-honed photographic skills and eye, but to return to areas that intrigued you or to explore new ones.
When making your plans, it is critical that you plan on arriving for our first session on Sunday. Our newcomers should be ready to go at noon, while our seasoned alumni can wait until 1:00.
We tend to stay over the night that the workshop ends, and for those who want to join us, we usually go out shooting and dine one last evening together.
Meanwhile, be sure to carefully read our FAQs, as well as the various links in the box above. They should hopefully answer almost any question you might have.
