Margo Pinkerton, Arnie Zann, and John Pagliuca, are all working professional photographers who enjoy sharing their expertise of how to create great images and process them through a logical work flow. They make learning fun in visually-rich locations here and abroad while they guide you toward becoming a better photographer.

Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures has been around since the early 80s, and with our instructors' 75+ years combined experience teaching, you will learn a lot! We provide lots of individual instruction each day with our small, 6/1 ratio. While we may photograph with you, our first commitment is always to give our participants the most rewarding photographic and learning experience possible.

In fact, one of our alumni recently won a first with an accompanying cash prize in a large, statewide travel photo contest with the image to the left that he created at our 2007 Lighthouses workshop ! He has already signed up for another of our photo adventures this spring! In addition to learning a lot in our workshop, he had a great time! Another alumnus just wrote us that not only were his two submissions (created in our 2007 New England workshop) accepted into a show juried by famous architectural photographer, Balthazar Korab, but that the one to the right won the first place prize in the color category!

And Travel + Leisure Online listed our 2007 New England photo adventure in an article called "Photography 101: Photo Expeditions and Tours"!

In our print element, our instructors will show you the ins and outs of successfully and easily turning your favorite digital images into stunning archival prints using a high-quality Epson printer. In fact, you will get plenty of instruction and input on digital work flow, tweaking your images, and after a test print, making a lovely 10"x15" print of one of your workshop photographs to take home with you.

Our philosophy is to have a great time while teaching you, as our tag line says, to "Create great photos; make great prints!"
